    JD Murcia

    Sr. Data Engineer Juneau, Alaska,

JD enjoys being surrounded by smart, capable people and values the respectful and thoughtful culture at Resource Data. For him, the best part is simple: the team. Since joining the company, he’s worked on the Alaska Department of Education and Early Development’s Data Warehouse Modernization project. This rewarding experience has allowed him to focus deeply on one client while sharpening his skills as a data engineer. He also appreciates the opportunity to work across different projects and teams, as part of continuous learning and collaboration.

When he’s not working with data, he’s likely on a tennis court or checking out local restaurants. While he jokes that his tennis fashion outpaces his game, he’s always up for a match. He appreciates the quiet pace of life in Boynton Beach, FL which offers a peaceful balance to his workdays.

    David Strickon

    Data Engineer Boise, Idaho,

Dave joined Resource Data excited about the opportunity to apply his data engineering skills for clients with a natural resource focus, especially those in the Northwest.  He appreciates the work-life balance that remote work provides.  Dave finds his current project both fascinating and challenging, but the best part is collaborating with the client’s team and the reward of seeing directly how improved data engineering and analysis makes a difference to them.

Outside of work, Dave enjoys kayaking and his friends and family in and around Kitsap County, WA – the natural side of Puget Sound.  When the summer days are long and the sun rises early Dave usually gets in a morning paddle on Liberty Bay before logging in for work.  He also serves as a Planning Commissioner for the city of Poulsbo where they just completed their latest comprehensive plan.  In the neighborhood Dave helps keep an eye on the older folks, participates in the disaster preparedness group and drinks beer with his friends.
