Cloud Strategy & Multicloud Platforms
Drive business results by aligning cloud investments with your organization’s goals. We help you avoid vendor lock-in and multicloud sprawl by designing strategies that fit AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud. Our approach uses reference architectures, workload placement frameworks, and risk-based governance to ensure every decision is practical and secure. You receive prioritized roadmaps and integration blueprints that balance performance, resilience, and cost transparency. Clear choices, not hype, for every cloud decision.
Cloud Infrastructure Deployment
Accelerate production readiness and reliability in the cloud. We engineer and automate environments across AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud—covering networking, compute, storage, firewalls, and load balancers—using infrastructure-as-code and automated pipelines. No guesswork. The goals are to establish segmented environments, secure connectivity to on-premises systems, and monitored baselines aligned to governance and security requirements. You gain predictable releases, faster change cycles, and a foundation operation can trust.
Landing Zones, Identity & Governance
Reduce cloud risk and control spend from day one. We build landing zones in AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud with clear account structures, role-based access controls, and policy-as-code pipelines integrated to your identity provider. Short, tested patterns replace ad-hoc exceptions. We can deliver blueprints, enforcement rules, and operating playbooks so teams deploy faster. Auditors, security, and finance see exactly who can do what—supported by transparent tagging and access reviews.
Cloud Security Architecture and Controls
Reduce cloud breach risk with security architectures built on proven frameworks. We design controls for AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud using NIST, CIS, and zero trust principles that are translated into practical patterns for network, identity, data, and monitoring. We deliver reference architectures, control mappings, and policy sets aligned to your regulatory landscape. Clear guardrails, not vague checklists. Teams know which controls matter, where they live, and how they are continuously verified.
FinOps & Cost Optimization
Bring cloud spend under control while protecting performance and delivery speed. We establish FinOps practices that unite engineering, finance, and product teams around shared dashboards, tagging standards, and forecasting rhythms across AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud. Rightsizing, commitment planning, and usage policies become repeatable workflows—not ad-hoc cleanups. Your project can deliver actionable savings backlogs, budget guardrails, and decision records so leaders see cost, value, and trade-offs in near real time for accountability.
Our Clients
Hundreds of clients. Thousands of projects.
Resource Data’s Data Engineer, together with technical city staff, outlined an approach that eliminated the risks we had in the older reporting solutions while also providing new capabilities that many of our employees didn’t think possible.

Railroad Corporation
Microsoft 365 rollout strengthens collaboration and security
A statewide transportation corporation with 600+ employees wanted to get more value from its Microsoft 365 licenses after migrating off its internal email system. To support collaboration, file sharing, and security across the business, the IT team needed guidance to set up the environment securely.
The project started with discovery sessions to confirm requirements and align the configuration with security standards. Pilot deployments confirmed Teams as the replacement for older collaboration tools. OneDrive addressed long-standing file storage and sharing issues. Resource Data also launched a SharePoint Online hub that gave administrators and staff one place to find training and support resources.
The rollout delivered a stable Microsoft 365 environment for internal and external users. Employees had simpler access to communication and file-sharing tools, and IT administrators were better prepared to manage and expand the platform over time.
An International Oil and Gas Company
Enterprise Systems Modernization Delivers Reliable, Scalable Support
An international oil and gas company expanding on Alaska’s North Slope needed to modernize systems supporting enterprise geospatial and operational work. Its legacy, file-based approach could not scale reliably, making a cloud foundation necessary for current and future demand
A high-availability architecture was designed in Amazon Web Services with redundancy built in. Resource Data integrated authentication using Windows Active Directory, Azure identity federation, and multi-factor authentication, and implemented CloudWatch monitoring and alerting to improve operational reliability.
Resource Data also provided training and administrator materials, plus a Quality Assurance and Quality Control Plan for ongoing support. The client continues to rely on maintenance across AWS, ArcGIS Enterprise, SQL Server applications, and related infrastructure to keep operations reliable and scalable.
Major Fisheries Corporation
Protecting Fisheries Data with a Stronger Cloud Foundation
A fisheries management program serving federal, state, and international partners needed to move its fisheries tracking system from aging Oracle servers to Azure. The migration also required a security program strong enough to meet strict federal requirements.
The new environment was designed and provisioned with virtual networks, hardened servers, firewalls, and a SIEM integrated with threat intelligence feeds. Resource Data led the work to align with federal security standards and built a complete security framework, including a system security plan, more than a dozen policies, and a plan of actions and milestones.
With regular security drills, penetration testing, and ongoing monitoring, the program gained stronger governance and resilience to protect critical fisheries data. The cloud platform improved compliance, reduced risk, and created a sustainable foundation for long-term operations.
An Alaska Native Non-Profit
Stabilizing Operations with a Secure SharePoint Online Migration
An Alaska Native non-profit serving seven regional tribes relied on aging on-premises SharePoint for daily operations, including travel logistics and finance. Storage limits, poor performance, and overly complex permissions created risk and made the system hard to manage.
The legacy environment was migrated to SharePoint Online while preserving existing structures and configurations to reduce disruption. Staff continued using the on-premises system during the transition as the cloud environment was built, validated, and refined through user testing. Resource Data supported the rollout and provided an administrative guide for ongoing maintenance.
The organization now has a stable, secure, and maintainable cloud platform that keeps critical functionality in place and improves reliability and long-term support.
A Major Oil and Gas Company
Microsoft 365 tenant consolidation simplifies collaboration
A large oil and gas, family-owned Alaska fuel distributors, operated in separate Microsoft 365 tenants. Employees struggled with multiple logins, misplaced files, and confusion around Teams meetings and shared data. Collaboration suffered, and IT spent time on avoidable support issues.
Resource Data led a full tenant consolidation. Using AvePoint Fly for data synchronization, the team confirmed requirements, resolved Active Directory synchronization issues, and migrated accounts, Teams, OneDrive, and Exchange data. Communication planning and a coordinated cutover helped minimize disruption.
After the migration, staff could collaborate across departments and locations without switching accounts or losing data. IT trouble tickets dropped significantly, and user efficiency and confidence in Microsoft 365 improved. The unified tenant provides a secure, scalable foundation for continued collaboration and growth.
Cloud Solutions
Cloud Platforms Built to Scale, Govern, and Endure.
Cloud initiatives often move faster than the controls designed to sustain them. We help design structure without slowing momentum—establishing clear ownership, production-ready platforms, and security that hold under real-world pressure. The outcome is simple: stable operations, trusted governance, and cloud environments leadership is confident expanding.
Landing Zones, Identity & Governance
Establish Cloud Control Without Slowing Delivery.
Cloud programs can stall when teams spin up AWS and Azure accounts freely, blurring ownership and driving spend leaders cannot explain. What is required is a governed landing zone with a structured account model, identity-driven access, and policy enforced through code. Tagging, exception handling, and quarterly access reviews can then become routine and not reactive. The results: a renewed confidence to approve initiatives because risk, cost, and accountability are now more visible and justifiable.
Cloud Infrastructure
Make Cloud Platforms Stable Before They Go Live.
An aggressive, early cloud migration can promise agility but result in outages, rising on-call fatigue, and unpredictable costs that erode trust. In cases such as this, we have rebuilt the platform with segmented networking, secure hybrid connectivity, and infrastructure delivered through repeatable pipelines. Monitoring, backups, and rollback were built in, then validated through recovery exercises before cutover. As a result, reliability improved, incidents declined, and teams shipped faster with fewer late-night escalations.
Cloud Security Architecture and Controls
Prove Security Continuously, Not Just at Audit Time.
In regulated environments, leadership needs confidence that controls work as teams plan frequent releases. That trust and stability comes as we embed NIST- and CIS-aligned policies directly into delivery pipelines, strengthen identity and network boundaries, enforce encryption, and centralize logs into a SIEM. A living security plan tracks remediation with clear ownership and this is validated with drills and testing. As a result, we deliver a trusted environment supporting required audits without slowing delivery.
Microsoft 365 Tenant Consolidation
Efficiency With the Right Tenant Architecture.
Multiple Microsoft 365 tenants can result in employees juggling logins, missing meetings, and second-guessing where work lives, while IT absorbs the growing support overhead. In situations such as this, we consolidate tenants through phased cutovers, repaired directory synchronization, and migrated Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, and email targeting minimal disruption. Governance follows —retention, data protection, and workspace lifecycle standards backed by admin playbooks. The benefits are an increase in efficiency, collaboration, and material decreases in support demand.
