    Director

    Boise, Idaho,

Starting as a GIS programmer without a computer science degree, Will grew into the Boise Director at Resource Data, thanks to a culture that fosters initiative, creativity, and mentorship. He thrives in an environment where employees are trusted to shape their careers and embrace challenges. “We may not be experts in a technology, but we’re experts at learning,” he says, reflecting the company’s focus on adaptability. A career highlight was supporting a major oil spill response, providing 24/7 GIS support and collaborating with multiple agencies to solve real-time problems. During one intense shift, he witnessed the leak being plugged—a rewarding moment of teamwork and impact.

Outside of work, Will enjoys life in Boise through music, travel, and sports. He plays in two bands—Danger Beard and Willie and the Singlewides—and loves snowboarding and hockey, a sport sparked by childhood memories of The Mighty Ducks. Service Area Lead, GIS

    Anchorage, Alaska,

Tasha is an accomplished GIS professional with nearly two decades of experience in the field, currently serving as the GIS Service Area Lead at Resource Data. Her career began with a focus on GIS analysis, eventually evolving into a leadership role where she has steered over 200 IT, GIS, and engineering projects to success across Alaska, Oregon, and Idaho. A testament to her expertise and strategic approach, Tasha has played a pivotal role in the expansion and excellence of Resource Data’s GIS services. Her favorite project involved managing a GIS Portfolio for a local county, turning a daunting list of over 90 web application ideas from various business groups into a streamlined, prioritized GIS Portfolio Management System.

Outside of her professional life, Tasha enjoys engaging in activities that offer relaxation and a bit of competition, participating in both an axe throwing and a golf league. Despite missing the dramatic landscapes of Alaska and Washington, Tasha appreciates her new small, college-town in Michigan for its family-friendly atmosphere and its easy access to outdoor activities. A favorite memory for Tasha comes from her college days, where she spent six weeks in Costa Rica collecting GIS data for national parks, an experience that was both challenging and enriching, marked by encounters with the local wildlife and natural hazards.

    Dave Roberts

    Director

    Portland, OR

Over the years, Dave has found Resource Data to be a place where he can take on new challenges and expand his experience. Starting as a GIS Programmer/Analyst, he later worked as a business analyst, project manager, software developer, and today serves as Director of the Portland branch—a role in which he works toward collaboration, staying adaptable, and creating results that last. The daily inspiration from talented colleagues and strong support for career growth have made Resource Data a lasting fit for him. One of his most memorable projects was supporting the Deepwater Horizon oil spill response, where he helped geocode spill-related photos and process GIS datasets to create a clearer operational picture, aiding in cleanup coordination.

Dave channels his love for challenge and exploration into mountaineering, with a long-term goal of completing the Washington Bulger List—the 100 highest mountains in Washington state. Living in Portland gives him the rare combination of vibrant city life and quick access to nature. From the Resource Data office, it’s only a short run to Washington Park or Forest Park, both offering miles of forested trails. On nice days, he can fit in a trail run during lunch and return to work recharged and ready for the afternoon.

    Jennifer Hunt

    GIS Programmer/Analyst

    Houston, Texas,

Jennifer traded emergency calls for map layers when she joined Resource Data as a GIS Analyst. She’s drawn to the supportive culture, hands-on learning, and the satisfaction of seeing her work improve real-world services. Assigning 911 addresses for the City of Abilene, Texas was her most interesting project. As a former EMT, she loved contributing to emergency response from a new angle—proof that her mapping skills can save minutes when they matter most.

Jennifers’ upbringing stands out, she grew up in Tokyo Japan until the age of seven. Her awesome background extends to her backyard oasis, where she gardens or tends to her indoor hydroponic garden that sprouts veggies and flowers year-round. If she’s not in her garden, she’s zipping around the island on her scooter in search of new coffee spots, soaking up “Island Time” on the beach.

    Boise, Idaho,

Ryan enjoys the culture at Resource Data—coworkers are genuinely helpful, and everyone is treated with respect. The flexibility and support for work-life balance are a big part of why he stays. One of his most rewarding projects involved developing a custom web mapping application that went beyond typical configuration tools. Being able to design custom business logic gave him a chance to solve problems in a more creative and technical way, which he found especially fulfilling.

He spends his time off with his kids, going outdoors, reading, exercising, and hitting the road on his motorcycle or in his car. A few years ago, he picked up drumming, adding a new rhythm to his routine. What he values most about where he lives is how close he is to family—visits are just a short drive away.
